Gerard of Riga (Anno Domini 1666)

I warmly welcome!

Back to the Anno Domini 1666 game painting with Gerard of Riga miniature.
The model is one of my favorites and it is styled like The Witcher character.
The monster slayer holds the severed head of a chick... Basilisk! in his hand.

Another Anno Domini 1666 entries

An orphan who quickly proved a proficient fighter and joined the secret Black Head fraternity of Riga. Ostensibly he is a law-abiding citizen and a head of a fencing school.
However, at times he disappears for weeks. Few people know this is when he fights werewolves and other creatures lurking in the Livonian swamps and forests.
Some time ago, in exchange for her life, a witch told him that his lost half brother is David Ungnad von Weissenwolf - member of the Emperor's council.
In her vision she saw great peril threatening the Empire and the entire world. Hearing this, Gerard wasted no time rushing straight to Vienna...
*Riga - main port of Livonia, today it's a capitol od Latvia.

  6. O wow, this sculpt is super cool. Basilisk (Cockatrice?) head is a really cool idea too. Almost a "Perseus claiming the Gorgon's head" vibe to it.

    Beautiful painting as always mate.
