Horatius the Mercenary - review (Talos Miniatures)

Hi there!

A quick look at the figurine today, I got for review and painting last week.

This is a variation on the late Roman officer from Talos Miniatures that I got from Eoin McCormack (creator of the Famous By Our Swords for little clash rules).

  • The 28-30mm scale model is made of high quality resin and consists of: body with head (masked helmet), separate hands, helmet decoration and base.
  • The details on the model are very nice and clear.

I can honestly recommend it to every lover of ancient and fantasy climates (Mythology version of Mortal Gods, Warhammer Tilea [ remind me a little a Dogs of War general] ?).
Below is a scale comparison with models for Mortal Gods and Victrix LTD.

Cant wait for painting now!

  1. Faktycznie, Horacy nadaje się na dowódcę Psów Wojny z Tilei.

  2. It does look nice, and you have the paint skills to make it really great.
But separate hands sounds strange and bothersome. 😀

  3. As you say Michal, a beautifully detailed model, and to echo Stew above, you have the oainting skills to do it justice....looking forward to seeing the painted version soon!

  4. Then out spake brave Horatius,
    The Captain of the gate:
‘To every man upon this earth
    Death cometh soon or late.
And how can man die better
    Than facing fearful odds,
For the ashes of his fathers,
And the temples of his Gods

  7. There is so much detail on that figurine. But I am confident you will do justice to its paint job!
