Witch Hunters Band II (Recruitment)

Hello!

As part of painting the backlog of miniatures, I decided last year to assemble another band of Witch Hunters (maybe more 17th c. than fantasy?) from the coolest models.
I have here metal figures from Anno Domini 1666, Dunkeldorf Miniatures, Gripping Beast...

Witch Hunters have NO aspirations for the game, and is purely a hobby project.
They consist of a Captain, two Hunters, a War Dog, two Zealots, and a hired bad guy (Troll Slayer?)- but the last one I'm not sure to add to band...
In fantasy project yes, in more weird 17th c. no.

Believe me or not, I won't be able to paint them this year!
I already have entries ready for all 2023 and two 2024 months, and a lot of other projects in the queue for painting.

I'm just going to start this in q2 of 2024.

  1. Looks very Interesting, I'll follow along for more weird 17th century, I think you're right about the slayer stretching things a bit?

  4. They look absolutely marvellous. Definitely a distinct Solomon Kane vibe to them - apart from the slayer - which I too probably wouldn't include.

  8. A very eclectic collection of characters for sure. I like the inclusion of the "slayer", though I think you are right in that he doesn't exactly fit in his current form, BUT (!), maybe by shaving off his mohawk and switching out his silly-large hammer for something more setting appropriate, he could be some sort of circus-freak-type character that could work out nicely? I mean, there are plenty of little-people in real life now - surely there would have been then too.

    3. Nie ma sprawy:)
W sumie jakiegoś skirmisha w domowym zaciszu to i ja bym zagrał:)
