The One Ring: Wargs #1

Hello friends!

Let me tell you, my Dears, that a lot 8 years ago, during a move, I lost a box of Wargs.
I only had two pieces left, which I glued and painted - and the other four magically disappeared.

And in an equally magical way, opening the box where I least expected the figures WERE!
Four lost big wolves that I glued and waiting for painting.
The set is already 22+ years old!
Left immediately with the second part of the cinematic LOTR - The Two Towers.

I will paint one of the wolves on grey- as the leader of the pack. As it was in the book "The Hobbit" by Master Tolkien, when the dwarves, the wizard and the hobbit miraculously managed to avoid the terrible fate that wolves would have prepared for them..

Who were the Wargs? The race of intelligent, huge wolves, bred in the Old Days by Morgoth, serving him, Sauron and Saruman. Legends go that they were depraved wolves in which evil spirits lived. The wargs were also able to mount by orcs.

In the First Age, the Wargs were a significant force that was part of the Morgoth army. They took part in the wars with the elves for Beleriand. Many of them were exterminated after the War of Wrath, some, however, survived and served Sauron. In the Third Age of the Wargs, many inhabited the wilderness of Middle-earth, especially in the north and in the Misty Mountains. They took part in the War of the Ring, fighting on the side of Sauron and Saruman.
In 2941, the Wargs, led by a large gray wolf, attacked Thorin's company in the Misty Mountains. After the escape of the dwarves, together with the goblins, they patrolled the area near the mountains in search of refugees. Later a significant number took part in the Battle of the Five Armies...
