Necromunda: Underhive Hangers-on: Dome Runner #1

Hello!

Never say never! I really wanted to paint something grim and dark sci-fi, and I landed on a very nice model for Necromunda.

This system was always on the back burner – I played WFB and Mordheim avidly about 25 years ago (yes, it's that long time ago!).
And I never decided to collect and play Games Workshop's sci-fi products – Wh40 and Necromunda. I only bought a model to paint every year or five years.

It's the same this time – I really don't know if I'll ever play it. Just bought a bunch of nice quality miniatures to paint.
My son and I will probably try some simpler systems – 'Space Station Zero' or 'What a Cowboy' (sci-fi version!).

First photo – I went a bit crazy with the background. This is a rotten, dark future and I'll let the AI decide what to do with the background 😅

Dome Runners are Necromundan Underhive vagabonds that act as local guides to gangs that expand their territory into areas they have never visited.

Runners come from a variety of backgrounds, generally unfortunate, but they all have one thing in common: an exhaustive knowledge of a local area and a distinct lack of other marketable skills.
This causes them to gladly settle down with a gang in exchange for reliable shelter, and once they are hired, the Dome Runners begin to root out hidden treasures within the gang's territory...
