Today we have the first two such bad guys that could be encountered on the dangerous roads of old Japan.
I used Fireforge Games parts (Samurai, Ashigaru, Sōhei and Mongols) and some parts from Wargames Atlantic cityfolks.
They even turned out quite okay?
In Feudal Japan, bandits, known as akutō or yamadachi, were a common problem, especially in rural areas and during times of political instability.
They engaged in raiding, robbery, and even kidnapping for ransom.
Their existence highlights the challenges of maintaining order and security in a decentralized society...
Out of mere annalistic duty, I'll just write that the Sohei Warrior Monks box is already in stores.
The miniatures, painted by your humble servant, are also on the back of the box ;-)
