The Battle of Empel (December 7–8, 1585) by Augusto Ferrer-Dalmau (but in miniatures!)

Hello!

Thanks to my friend Vogte Michel I can show you my new project, my dears.
Miniatures reproduced from the painting by Augusto Ferrer-Dalmau - Battle of Empel, 1585!

What a lovely stuff! 😍

The minis are 28 mm 3D printed. They look very nice and I'll be painting them sooner rather than later.
I also decided to put them on single bases rather than on a larger diorama - maybe we'll be able to play some skirmish someday?

The Battle of Empel (December 7–8, 1585) was a miraculous victory for the Spanish Army of Flanders over the Dutch forces during the Eighty Years' War.

The surrounded Spanish, thanks to the discovery of an image of the Immaculate Conception and the sudden freezing of the rivers (which allowed them to attack the Dutch fleet), won a crushing victory. St. Mary became the patron saint of Spain.
