Vampire Counts: Zombies #2 (Games Workshop)

Hello Living Ones!

Today I painted two new zombies  and remember they were hilarious back then – as walkers with their graves.

I remember that X years ago I also had mixed feelings, but after all these years I've come to appreciate the detail in the models and the references to folk legends about the Undead.

At this time, we have Slavic folk tales about Wraiths, Vampyrs, who emerge from their graves after death and terrify the living.
One way to do this is to stake them (and cut off their heads!). These are standards that later became a staple in Gothic tales.

And we have such references in these models – although one of the ladies looks like a Voodoo priestess. Nevertheless, they're cool models to paint, and there will be a few more to come :)

Have a nice day!
M.
