Polish knight 'Leliwa' coat of arms / Polski Rycerz herbu "Leliwa"

Today, another knight of the 'coat of arms' of the Kingdom of Poland from the 14th century.

I used a model from Claymore Castings with a light weapon and helmet conversion.

The history of the coat of arms is supposed to go back to the 12th century. Saint Bertold of Garsten was to be sealed with the emblem of Leliwa in 1140.

In 1359 in the forests of Płonina in Wallachia, in a defeat suffered against the Moldavian army, the Leliwa banner was to fall into enemy hands.

The oldest mention in court documents comes from 1399: "... de clenodio lune et stelle, et de proclamacione Lelywa".

Three Leliwa banners took part in the Battle of Grunwald (Tannenberg) in 1410. These were the banners of the brothers: Jan of Tarnów (Kraków voivode) and Spytek of Jarosław and Wincenty of Granowo (castellan of Śrem and the starost of Greater Poland).

By the act of the Union of Horodel in 1413, the coat of arms of Leliwa was transferred to Lithuania (it was adopted by the Vilnius staroste, Moniwid, and by the Kraków voivode, Jan Tarnowski and Jadwiga of Leżenice).

Dziś kolejny rycerz 'herbowy' Królestwa Polskiego z XIV wieku.

Użyłem modelu od Claymore Castings z lekką konwersją broni oraz hełmu.

Historia herbu ma sięgać XII w. Godłem wyobrażającym Leliwę pieczętować się miał święty Bertold z Garsten w roku 1140.

W 1359 w lasach Płoniny na Wołoszczyźnie, w klęsce poniesionej przeciwko armii mołdawskiej, chorągiew Leliwa miała wpaść w ręce nieprzyjacielskie.

Najstarsza zachowana wzmianka w dokumentach sądowych pochodzi z 1399 r.: „...de clenodio lune et stelle, et de proclamacione Lelywa”.

W bitwie pod Grunwaldem w 1410 roku wzięły udział trzy chorągwie pod znakiem Leliwa. Były to chorągwie braci: Jana z Tarnowa (wojewody krakowskiego) i Spytka z Jarosławia oraz Wincentego z Granowa (kasztelana śremskiego i starosty wielkopolskiego).

Aktem unii horodelskiej w 1413 r. herb Leliwa został przeniesiony na Litwę (przyjął starosta wileński Moniwid, adoptowali wojewoda krakowski Jan Tarnowski i Jadwiga z Leżenic).
