W 132 rocznicę urodzin H.P. Lovecrafta zapraszam do kolejnej mini recenzji gry paragrafowej na podstawie "Snu w domu Wiedźmy", mojego top 3 ulubionego opowiadania mistrza z Providence!

       Seria ta została wydana pierwotnie w serii Choose Cthulhu, a teraz dzięki polskiemu wydawcy również i my możemy uczestniczyć w tej jednoosobowej przygodzie.
Przygodzie pełnej mroku, tajemnic i szaleństwa!

• Czym są Gry Paragrafowe? 
  Znajdziecie w pierwszym wpisie poświęconym cyklowi.
  

Dotychczas bawiłem się znakomicie przy:

• Zew Cthulhu #1
• W Górach Szaleństwa #2
• Widmo nad Innsmouth #3

       Dziś część 6 (tak, tak przeskoczyłem trochę i dwie pozostałe części nadrobię w przyszłości) z opowiadaniem, które uwielbiam i wracam do niego bardzo często.
Mowa o "Snach w Domu Wiedźmy",  w których to Walter Gilman, uczeń matematyki i folkloru na Uniwersytet Miskatonic, wynajmuje pokój na poddaszu w domu tytułowej wiedźmy w niesławnym Arkham.

       Ongiś w tym domu mieszkała oskarżona o czary Keziah Mason, która tajemniczo zniknęła potem w więzieniu w Salem w 1692 roku.

Bohater utworu odkrywa wiele złowrogich ciekawostek o pokoju, który wynajął, oraz jego niezwykłej geometrii. Na domiar złego zaczyna miewać sny. Niezwykłe, nienaturalne i niebezpieczne...

• I jaka jest fabuła gry?

"Opętała cię potrzeba wiedzy absolutnej. Wszechświat jest złożoną i straszliwą zagadką, którą nauka dopiero próbuje rozwikłać. Wiedziony pogłoskami o istnieniu złej czarownicy, która rości sobie prawo do panowania nad tajemnicami czasu i przestrzeni, udajesz się na opuszczone Wzgórze Orne'a, aby zamieszkać w jej rezydencji. Czy zdołasz odkryć jej sekrety i związek, jaki mają z nowoczesną nauką? Czy przerażające pogłoski o porwaniach i tajemniczych satanistycznych rytuałach, które rzekomo wciąż mają miejsce w starym mieście Arkham, są prawdziwe?        Przyznam się Wam moi drodzy, że "Sny w Domu Wiedźmy" czytało/grało mi się najlepiej z dotychczas posiadanych z serii.
Genialny klimat, powolne popadanie w obłęd i szaleństwo i znakomita zabawa przez kilka godzin!

POLECAM każdemu miłośnikowi mistrza z Providence oraz każdemu kto lubi klimaty grozy i dobrej zabawy.
Wewnątrz znajdziecie także sporo klimatycznych ilustracji (kilka próbek poniżej).

On the 132nd birthday of H.P. Lovecraft, I invite you to another mini-review of the solo gamebook based on "The Dreams in the Witch House", my top 3 favorite Providence's master story!

This series was originally released in the Choose Cthulhu series, and now thanks to polish edition we can also participate in this one-person adventure.

So far I have had a lot of fun with:

• Call of Cthulhu # 1
• In the Mountains of Madness # 2
• The Shadow over Innsmouth # 3

       A Part 6 (yes, yes I skipped over a bit and will make up for the other two parts in the future) with a story today that I love and come back to very often.

I'm  talking about " The Dreams in the Witch House," in which Walter Gilman, a math and folklore student at Miskatonic University, rents an attic room in the "Witch's House" in the infamous Arkham.

        The house was once home of the accused Keziah Mason, who then mysteriously disappeared from the Salem prison in 1692.

The protagonist of the piece discovers many sinister curiosities about the room he rented and its unusual geometry.
To make matters worse, he starts having dreams. Unusual, unnatural and dangerous...

• And what is the plot of the game?

"You have been possessed by the need for absolute knowledge. The universe is a complex and terrible mystery that science is still trying to unravel.
Driven by rumors of an evil witch who claims to lord it over the mysteries of time and space, you go to the deserted Orne Hill to inhabit Will you be able to discover its secrets and the connection they have with modern science?
Are the terrifying rumors of kidnappings and mysterious Satanic rituals that are allegedly still taking place in the old city of Arkham true? The Witch's House? "

        

I must admit, my dear, that "The Dreams in the Witch House" read / played for me the best from the series so far.

Brilliant atmosphere, slowly falling into madness and madness and great fun for a few hours!

I recommend it to every fan of the master from Providence and to everyone who likes the atmosphere of horror and fun.
