Unlikely Allies: Ronin / Samurai Marksmen (Test of Honour) (Ronin)

Hello again!

A second mini from the Grey For Now Games Unlikely Allies box today (Inboxing HERE).

This time a Ronin/Samurai marksmen armed with Tanegashima.
It was a gun,
most often called in Japanese and sometimes in English hinawajū (火縄銃, "matchlock gun"), was a type of matchlock-configured arquebus firearm introduced to Japan through the Portuguese Empire in 1543.

Tanegashima were used by the samurai class and their ashigaru "foot soldiers", and within a few years the introduction of the tanegashima in battle changed the way war was fought in Japan forever.

  11. Really nice painted figures! I found it always difficult to paint these kind of uniforms but you gave me some inspiration now. Maybe some day I will paint some of my Caesar figures.
